V nedeľu dňa 2.8.2026 som sa zase zúčastnil rádioamatérskeho závodenia na VKV 2m = 144 MHz. Tentoraz z Veľkej Javoriny na slovensko-českej /moravskej/ hranici (lokátor JN88UU), nadmorská výška 980m (asl).

Zúčastnil som sa slovenského OM VHF Low Power Contest-u 2026 a paralelne bežiaceho českého VKV QRP závodu: Letní QRP závod na VKV 2026, ktoré sa konajú v rovnakom čase po dobu 6 hodín.

Prakticky v tomto čase tu prebiehal aj významný medzinárodný Alpe-Adria VHF Contest (AAC) a tiež nemecké kontesty : DARC UKW-Sommer-Fieldday a aj Bayerischer Bergtag (BBT). 

Veľká Javorina (JN88UU) výborné, vysoké miesto na rádioamatérske vysielanie. Moje konkrétne qth tu bolo pekne otvorené na smery od juhovýchodu – cez juh – západ - sever – po severovýchod. Z tohto kopca som bol už predtým aj párkrát súťažiť v rámci mesačného slovenského Prevádzkového aktívu - VKV PA.

Tu som 2.8. 2026 ráno postavil pri TV a rozhlasovom vysielači  6m vysoký hliníkový teleskopický stožiar s 3-elementovou Yagi anténou a zriadil improvizované VKV vysielacie pracovisko v aute, viď foto vyššie.

Závod som však odštartoval až asi 1,5 hod po začiatku. Totiž cesta autom z Bratislavy, stavanie stožiara a vybudovanie pracoviska v aute, zabrali oveľa viac času, než som si naplánoval.  

Pásmo 2m bolo husto obsadené stanicami vysielajúcimi CW a SSB. Vďaka výbornej polohe antény som sa dovolal na skoro všetky stanice, ktoré som sám na pásme s mojím TRX IC705: 10w out (= QRP) počul. Technika pracovala, no prišlo nečakané vybitie akumulátora v PC a dlhšia provizórna oprava výstupného konektora napájacieho meniča pre PC z externého akumulátora. Inak sám spoločný externý akumulátor pre TRX a pre notebook so SW Tučňák vydržal.  

Môj celkový dosiahnutý výsledok za asi 4 hodiny prevádzky : 

56 QSOs, 21 Locs / WWLs, 11477 bodov.  ODX : 9A7RR; JN74UT; 474 km

Am Sonntag dem 2. August 2026 habe ich erneut an einem Amateurfunk-Contest im VHF-Band 2m = 144 MHz teilgenommen.  Diesmal vom Berg Veľká Javorina an der slowakisch-tschechischen (mährischen) Grenze, Lokator JN88UU, auf einer Höhe von 980 m über dem Meeresspiegel.

Ich nahm am slowakischen OM VHF Low Power Contest und am parallel stattfindenden tschechischen VHF-QRP-Wettbewerb teil: Letní QRP závod na VKV 2026, die zur gleichen Zeit über einen Zeitraum von 6 Stunden stattfinden. Praktisch zur gleichen Zeit fanden hier auch der bedeutende internationale Alpe-Adria-VHF-Contest (AAC) sowie die deutschen Wettbewerbe statt: DARC UKW-Sommer-Fieldday sowie der Bayerische Bergtag (BBT). Die Große Javorina (JN88UU) ist ein hervorragender, hochgelegener Standort für den Amateurfunk . Mein konkreter QTH-Standort hier bot eine gute Sicht in Richtung Südosten – über Süden – Westen – Norden – bis hin zum Nordosten. Von diesem Berg aus habe ich bereits einige Male im Rahmen des monatlichen slowakischen Betriebsaktivs – VKV PA – an Contesten teilgenommen.  Hier habe ich am Morgen des 2.8. 2026 unweit des Fernseh- und Rundfunksenders einen 6 m hohen Aluminium-Teleskopmast mit einer 3-Element-Yagi-Antenne aufgestellt und eine improvisierte VHF-Sendeanlage im Auto eingerichtet. Siehe Foto oben. Den Wettbewerb habe ich jedoch erst etwa 1,5 Stunden nach Beginn gestartet. Denn die Autofahrt von Bratislava, das Aufstellen des Mastes und der Aufbau der Arbeitsstation im Auto nahmen viel mehr Zeit in Anspruch, als ich geplant hatte.
Das 2-m-Band war dicht mit Stationen belegt, die CW und SSB sendeten. Dank der hervorragenden Antennenausrichtung konnte ich fast alle Stationen erreichen, die ich selbst auf dem Band mit meinem TRX IC705 (10 W Ausgangsleistung (= QRP)) hörte. Die Technik funktionierte, doch es kam zu einer unerwarteten Entladung des Akkus im PC-Notebook und einer längeren provisorischen Reparatur des Ausgangssteckers des Umrichters für den PC, der über einen externen Akku versorgt wurde.
Ansonsten hielt der gemeinsame externe Akku für das TRX und das Notebook mit der Software „Tučňák“ durch. Mein insgesamt erzieltes Ergebnis nach etwa total 4 Stunden Betrieb:

On Sunday 2 August 2026, I once again took part in an amateur radio contest on the 2m VHF band (144 MHz).   This time, I was operating from Veľká Javorina hill on the Slovak-Czech (Moravian) border (locator JN88UU), at an altitude of 980 metres (asl).
I took part in the Slovak OM VHF Low Power Contest 2026 and the Czech Summer VHF QRP Contest 2026 : Letní QRP závod na VKV 2026 running in parallel, both of which take place at the same time over a period of 6 hours.

At practically the same time, the major international Alpe-Adria VHF Contest (AAC) was also taking place here, as well as the German contests: the DARC UKW-Sommer-Fieldday and the Bayerischer Bergtag (BBT).

Veľká Javorina (JN88UU) is an excellent, high-altitude location for amateur radio transmission. My specific QTH here offered good line-of-sight to directions ranging from the south-east – through the south – west – north – to the north-east. I had previously competed from this hill a few times as part of the monthly Slovak VHF Operational Activity (VKV PA). On the morning of 2 August 2026, not far from the TV and radio transmitter building, I erected a 6-metre-high aluminium telescopic mast with a 3-element Yagi antenna and set up a makeshift VHF transmitting station in my car. See the photo above.

However, I didn’t start the contest until about 1.5 hours after it began. The drive from Bratislava, erecting the mast and setting up the station in the car took much longer than I had planned.

The 2-metre band was heavily congested with stations transmitting on CW and SSB. Thanks to the excellent antenna positioning, I managed to make contact with almost all the stations I could hear on the band myself using my

The equipment worked well, but there was an unexpected battery drain in the PC and a lengthy makeshift repair to the output connector of the power converter for the PC from the external battery. Otherwise, the shared external battery for the TRX and the laptop running the Tučňák software held out.      My total result after about 4 hours of operation:

56 QSOs, 21 Locs / WWLs, 11,477 points. ODX: 9A7RR; JN74UT; 474 km.

V nedeľu dňa 7.8.2022 som sa zase zúčastnil rádioamatérskeho závodenia na VKV 2m = 144 MHz. Tentoraz z Devínskej Kobyly nad Bratislavou (lokátor JN88LE), nadmorská výška 514m (asl).

Zúčastnil som sa slovenského OM VHF Low Power Contest-u a paralelne bežiaceho českého medzinárodného QRP závodu : Letní QRP závod na VKV 2022, ktoré sa konajú v rovnakom čase po dobu 6 hodín.

Prakticky v tomto čase tu prebiehal aj významný medzinárodný Alpe-Adria VHF Contest (AAC) a tiež nemecké kontesty : DARC UKW-Sommer-Fieldday ako aj Bayerischer Bergtag (BBT). 
Skúšobne som sa zúčastnil aj Alpe-Adria VHF Contest-u v kategórii C.

Devínska Kobyla je vzácne a výborné miesto na rádioamatérske vysielanie, pekne otvorené na všetky smery, okrem čiastočného zatienenia na severovýchod Malými Karpatmi (presnejšie súradnice sú tu:  48.18944 N,  16.99581 E ). 

Z tohto kopca som bol už pár razy súťažiť aj v rámci pravidelného mesačného slovenského Prevádzkového aktívu - VKV PA.

Tu som 7.8. ráno postavil v areáli bývalej raketovej základne 8m vysoký GFK teleskopický stožiar s 3-elementovou Yagi anténou medzi stromami a zriadil som aj  improvizované VKV vysielacie pracovisko v prírode, viď foto vyššie.

Závod som však odštartoval až asi 2 hod po začiatku. Totiž hľadanie vhodného, pokiaľ možno najvyššieho no pritom skrytého miesta, bokom od centra turistickej vyhliadky, zabrali oveľa viac času, než som si naplánoval.  

Pásmo 2m bolo stanicami vysielajúcimi CW a aj SSB husto obsadené.
Vďaka výbornej polohe antény - asi trošku nad úrovňou korún stromov - som sa dovolal na skoro všetky stanice, ktoré som sám na pásme s mojím TRX IC705: 10w out (= QRP) počul.
Technika fungovala a vydržal aj spoločný externý akumulátor pre TRX a pre notebook so SW Tučňák.  

Môj celkový dosiahnutý výsledok za asi 4 hodiny prevádzky : 

48 QSOs, 20 Locs / WWLs, 10722 bodov, ODX : IQ5NN; JN63GN; 617km

Am 7. August 2022 nahm ich wieder am Amateurfunk-Contesting auf dem UKW-Band 2m = 144 MHz teil.  Diesmal vom Hügel Devinska Kobyla oberhalb von Bratislava  (Locator JN88LE), Höhe 514m (ü.M.).

 Ich nahm am slowakischen OM VHF Low Power Contest und am parallellaufenden tschechischen internationalen QRP-Wettbewerb teil: Sommer-QRP-Contest VHF 2022, die zur gleichen Zeit für 6 Stunden stattfinden.

Praktisch zu dieser Zeit findet auch der wichtige internationale Alpe-Adria-VHF-Contest (AAC) und auch deutsche Wettbewerbe statt: DARC UKW-Sommer-Fieldday sowie der Bayerische Bergtag (BBT).
Zu Testzwecken habe ich auch am Alpe-Adria-VHF-Contest in der Kategorie C teilgenommen. 

Devínska Kobyla ist ein seltener und hervorragender Ort für Amateurfunk, schön offen in alle Richtungen, abgesehen von einer teilweisen Abschattung im Nordosten durch die Kleinen Karpaten (genauere Koordinaten hier sind: 48.18944 N, 16.99581 E).

Von diesem Hügel aus habe ich bereits einige Male an der regelmäßigen monatlichen slowakischen Operativen Aktivität - VKV PA - teilgenommen.

Am 7. August morgens baute ich hier im Bereich der ehemaligen Raketenbasis einen 8m hohen GFK-Teleskopmast mit einer 3-Element-Yagi-Antenne zwischen den Bäumen auf und richtete auch einen improvisierten UKW-Sendeplatz in der Natur ein, siehe Foto oben.

Den Contest habe ich allerdings erst etwa 2 Stunden nach dem Start begonnen. Die Suche nach einem geeigneten, möglichst hochgelegenen und gleichzeitig versteckten Platz, abseits des Zentrums des touristischen Aussichtspunktes, nahm nämlich viel mehr Zeit in Anspruch, als ich geplant hatte.

Das 2m-Band war stark von Stationen in CW und SSB belegt. Dank der hervorragenden Position der Antenne - etwa ein wenig über Baumkronenniveau - konnte ich mit meinem TRX IC705: 10w out (= QRP) fast alle Stationen kontaktieren, die ich selbst auf dem Band hörte. Die Technik funktionierte und der gemeinsame externe Akku für den TRX und für den Notebook mit SW Tučňák hielt auch durch.

Mein Gesamtergebnis in ca. 4 Stunden Betrieb erreicht:

48 QSOs, 20 Locs / WWLs, 10722 Punkte, ODX : IQ5NN; JN63GN; 617km

On the August 7, 2022, I attended again to the ham-radio contesting on VHF band 2m = 144 MHz.  This time from the Devinska Kobyla hill above Bratislava (locator JN88LE), altitude 514m (asl).

I took part in the Slovak OM VHF Low Power Contest and the parallel running Czech international QRP competition: Summer QRP contest VHF 2022, which take place at the same time for 6 hours.

Practically at this time, the important international Alpe-Adria VHF Contest (AAC) and also German contests: DARC UKW-Sommer-Fieldday as well as Bayerischer Bergtag (BBT) took place here.
For testing, I also participated in the Alpe-Adria VHF Contest in category C.

Devínska Kobyla is a rare and excellent place for ham-radio transmitting, nicely open in all directions, except for partial shading to the northeast by the Small Carpathians (more precise coordinates here are: 48.18944 N, 16.99581 E).

From this hill I have already competed a few times in the regular monthly Slovak Operational Activity - VKV PA.

On August 7 in the morning I built here in the area of ​​the former missile base an 8m high GFK telescopic mast with a 3-element Yagi antenna among the trees and I also set up an improvised VHF transmitting workplace in nature, see photo above.

However, I didn't start the contest until about 2 hours after the start. Namely, the search for a suitable, if possible the highest but at the same time hidden place, aside from the center of the tourist viewpoint, took much more time than I had planned.

The 2m band was heavily occupied by stations transmitting in CW and SSB. Thanks to the excellent position of the antenna - about a little above the level of the tree tops - I was able to contact almost all the stations that I heard myself on the band with my TRX IC705: 10w out (= QRP). The technology worked and the common external accumulator for the TRX and for the laptop with SW Tučňák also lasted.

My overall result achieved in about 4 hours of operation:

48 QSOs, 20 Locs / WWLs, 10722 Points, ODX: IQ5NN; JN63GN; 617km

 

 

 

 

 

Zimný QRP závod na VKV (OK), 6.2.2022. 
Winter QRP Contest VHF (OK), February 6, 2022.

V nedeľu 6.2.2022 som sa zúčastnil rádioamatérskeho Zimného QRP závodu na VKV (OK), ktorý sa konal na :
- 432 MHz (= HAM pásmo 70cm) o 09.00-11.00 UTC
- 144 MHz (= HAM pásmo 2m)  o 11.00-13.00 UTC.

Autom som vyšiel nad Bratislavu – na lúku nad Lamačom v Bratislave – nadmorská výška 275m, lokátor JN88ME, na miesto na ktoré chodievam vysielať na VKV Prevádzkový aktív (PA).
Bolo celkom dobré počasie : skoro zamrznutá pôda, teplota ráno okolo +2 stupňov, zamračené, len slabý vietor. Použil som QRP transceiver IC705 s výkonom 10w, napájanie z LiFePo4 akumulátora a antény : 10 el. Yagi pre 70cm a 7 el. Yagi pre 2m.
Hliníkový anténny stožiar som mal kratší (vysoký asi 5+1m), fixovaný vodorovnou trubkou zo strechy auta a nasadený na veľkú skrutku v zemi.

Rádioamatérske spojenia (QSO) som zapisoval do notebooku, do sw denníka Tučňák. Pri nadväzovaní spojení mi pomáhal aj prístup na Internet cez mobil a chat cez sw wtKST. Denník zo závodu som na ďalší deň elektronicky poslal cez qrp [zavináč] seznam.cz Mirkovi OK1DOM, ktorý mi potvrdil jeho obdržanie  – tnx. 
V tomto zimnom preteku som však žiaľ nepočul veľa staníc, a to ani staníc z nemeckého BBT kontestu, ktorý sa konal paralelne.

TRX s anténou na pásme 70cm fungoval spoľahlivo, a tak som tu urobil pomocou  cw + ssb   13 QSO = 1326 bodov. Najdlhšie spojenie (ODX) OK1TEH; JO70FD; 287km.
Problém sa však objavil pri vysielaní na pásme 2m, na ktorom mi anténa ukázala vysoké PSV.
Stožiar a antény som tak musel dať dole a skúsil som dotiahnuť skrutky 2m dipólu, čo pomohlo. Všetko som zase vytiahol hore, ale stratil som asi ¾ hodiny času, čo sa výrazne prejavilo vo výsledku tejto etapy.  Urobil som tak len 17 cw + ssb QSO = 2250 bodov. Najdlhšie spojenie (ODX) OK1DIX; JO70IB; 268km.

On Sunday February 6, 2022, I participated in the amateur radio Winter QRP Contest VHF (OK), which took place on :
- 432 MHz (= HAM band 70cm) at 09.00-11.00 UTC
- 144 MHz (= HAM  band 2m) at 11.00-13.00 UTC..

I went by car over Bratislava - to the meadow above Lamač in Bratislava - altitude above sea 275 m, locator JN88ME, to the place where I go to transmit on VHF Operating Activity Day (PA).
The weather was quite good: almost frozen soil, morning temperature around +2 degrees, cloudy, only light wind. I used a QRP TRX : transceiver IC705 with a power of 10w, power supply from a LiFePo4 battery and antennas: 10 el. Yagi for 70cm and 7 el. Yagi for 2m.
I had a shorter aluminum antenna mast (about 5 + 1m high), fixed by a horizontal tube from the roof of the car and mounted on a large screw in the ground.)

I recorded the amateur radio connections / contacts (QSOs) in a notebook, in the software Tucnak log. Access to the Internet via mobile phone and chat via the wtKST software also helped me establish a connection. The next day I sent the log electronically via qrp [at] seznam.cz to Mirek OK1DOM, who confirmed my receipt - tnx.
Unfortunately, I did not hear many stations in this winter contest, not even the stations from the German BBT contest, which took place in parallel.

The TRX with an antenna in the 70cm band worked reliably, so I made 13 QSOs = 1326 points here using cw + ssb. Longest connection (ODX) OK1TEH; JO70FD; 287km.
However, the problem occurred when transmitting on the 2m band, where the antenna showed me a high SWR.
I had to put the mast and antennas down and tried to tighten the screws of the 2m dipole, which helped. I pulled everything up again, but I lost about ¾ hours of time, which was significantly reflected in the result of this stage.   I made only 17 cw + ssb QSOs = 2250 points. Longest connection (ODX) OK1DIX; JO70IB; 268km.

V nedeľu 16.1.2022 som sa zase zúčastnil rádioamatérskeho (HAM) OK/OM VKV/UKV Prevádzkového aktívu. Vysielal som z lúky nad Lamačom v Bratislave, 275 m ASL,  v lokátore JN88ME, a to v pásme 1296 MHz = 23cm (SHF).  Bolo celkom dobré počasie – čiastočne slnečno, len slabý vetrík, zamrznutá pôda. Teplota ráno okolo -2 stupňov, potom prišlo trochu oteplenie nad nulu a trvalé slniečko.

Použil som VKV PA výbavu pre vysielanie z auta: TRX TS2000X s výstupným výkonom asi 10w na 23cm, napájanie z LiFePo4 akumulátora. Použitá anténa YAGI 44 el. (SHF2344). . Hliníkový anténny stožiar som mal kratší (vysoký asi 5m), fixovaný vodorovnou trubkou zo strechy auta a nasadený na veľkú skrutku v zemi. Rádioamatérske spojenia (QSOs) som zapisoval do notebooku, do sw denníka Tučňák a potom z domu odoslal na vyhodnotenie na www.hamradio.sk
Pri nadväzovaní spojení mi veľmi pomáhal prístup na Internet cez mobil a chat cez sw wtKST. Do polovice závodu som mal k wtKST zapnutý aj sw AirScout (pre spojenia odrazom od lietadiel) - no potom som ho musel vypnúť, lebo spôsoboval zvýšenú spotrebu notebooku a nemal som externé napájanie notebooku.

TRX s anténou fungovali aj v zimných podmienkach spoľahlivo, a tak som urobil 11 spojení (= 38 bodov) a 7 násobičov / lokátorov WWL, čo znamená celkovo 266 bodov v tejto súťažnej etape na 23cm rádioamatérskom pásme.  

 

On Sunday January 16, 2022, I again participated in the amateur  radio (HAM) OK/OM VHF-SHF Activity Contest. I transmitted from the meadow above Lamac in Bratislava, 275m ASL, in the locator JN88ME, in the band 1296 MHz = 23cm HAM band (SHF). The weather was quite good – partly sunny, only light breeze, frozen soil. The temperature in the morning was around -2 degrees, then came a little warming above zero and persistant sunshine. I used the VHF-Activity-Contest-Equipment for transmitting from the car: TRX TS2000X with an output power of about 10w at 23cm, powered by a LiFePo4 battery. Used antenna YAGI 44 el. (SHF2344). I had a shorter aluminium antenna mast (about  5m high), fixed by a horizontal tube from the roof of the car and mounted on a large screw in the ground.  I recorded the amateur radio connections (QSOs) in a notebook in the SW Tucnak log and then sent them out of the house for evaluation at www.hamradio.sk .

Access to the Internet via mobile phone and chat via the wtKST software helped me a lot in establishing the connections.  By the middle of the contest, I also had AirScout software turned on for wtKST (for connections by reflection from aircraft) - but then I had to turn it off because it caused increased consumption of the notebook and I did not have external power to the notebook.

The TRX with the antenna worked reliable even in these winter conditions, so I made 11 QSOs (= 38 points) and 7 WWL multipliers / locators, which means a total of 266 points in this competition period on the 23cm amateur radio band.   

Prevádzkový aktív (VKV PA) na VKV/UKV 21.02.2021 .

Activity Contest VHF-SHF on February 21, 2021

V nedeľu 21.02.2021 som sa zase zúčastnil rádioamatérskeho OK/OM VKV/UKV Prevádzkového aktívu z lúky nad Lamačom v Bratislave, 275 m ASL, v lokátore  JN88ME, a to na pásme 70cm (UKV). Bolo mrholivé, veterné a vlhké počasie, hmla ; teplota najprv asi +1 stupeň, potom až asi +3 stupne C.

Použil som časť mojej VKV PA výbavy pre vysielanie z auta : nový QRP TRX IC705 s výkonom však len asi 5w na 70cm (z dôvodu zlého PSV antény, ktoré mi výkon sťahovalo – asi do jej krabičky so symetrizačným členom pripojenia dipólu natiekla voda) ; napájanie z LiFePo4 akumulátora.

Spojenia som zapisoval len na papier, prepísal som ich až doma do SW denníka Tučňák v počítači a potom odoslal na vyhodnotenie na www.hamradio.sk.  Anténa bola malá YAGI 11 el.   Stožiar som mal oproti minulým rokom zjednodušený, kratší, fixovaný vodorovnou trubkou zo strechy auta a nasadený na veľkú skrutku v zemi. Prístup na Internet som nemal, a tak ani prístup na chat ON4KST. 

Urobil soma aj v tomto zlom počasí 21 spojení (= 67 bodov) a 11 násobičov / lokátorov WWL , čo znamená celkovo 737 bodov v tejto súťažnej etape na 70cm rádioamatérskom pásme.

 

On Sunday February 21, 2021,I attended again to the ham radio OK/OM VHF-SHF Activity Contest.
I have transmitted from a meadow above Lamac in Bratislava, 275m ASL,  in the JN88ME locator, namely on the 70cm HAM band (UHF).

There was a drizzle, windy and humid weather, fog ; the temperature in the morning around +1 degree, later +3 degrees C. I used a part of my Activity-Contest-Car-Equipment : The new QRP TRX IC705 however with power 5w on the 70cm only (due to the bad antenna SWR, which reduced my power - probably water flowed into its box with a balancing element of the dipole connection) ; electric power supplied by the LiFePo4 accumulator.

I put down the qso-s on paper only. I had to rewrite them into SW log Tucnak in PC at home, sa as to send them on the  www.hamradio.sk for evaluation.   The antenna used was my 11 elements YAGI.  The Alu-mast, which I have used, was simplified, shorter, fixed by a horizontal pipe from the car roof and by a big screw in the soil. I had no internet connection, so I was running without the ON4KST chat.  

I worked 21 QSOs even in this bad weather (= 67 points) and 11x WWL locators, which means 737 points totally in this competition period on the 70cm HAM band.

Activity Contest VHF-SHF on October 18, 2020

 

V nedeľu 18.10.2020 som sa po dvojročnej prestávke zúčastnil rádioamatérskeho OK/OM VKV/UKV Prevádzkového aktívu z lúky nad Lamačom v Bratislave, 275 m ASL,  v lokátore JN88ME, a to na pásme 70cm (UKV).  Bolo celkom dobré počasie – pod mrakom a sem-tam aj slniečko, aj keď veterno ; teplota ráno okolo +10 stupňov,  potom trochu oteplenie.

Použil som časť mojej VKV PA výbavy pre vysielanie z auta : TRX TS2000X s výkonom asi 40w na 70cm a napájanie z LiFePo4 akumulátora. Spojenia som zapisoval len na papier, prepísal som ich až doma do SW denníka Tučňák v počítači a potom odoslal na vyhodnotenie na www.hamradio.sk.  Anténa bola malá YAGI 11 el. Stožiar som mal oproti minulým rokom len zjednodušený, kratší, fixovaný vodorovnou trubkou zo strechy auta a nasadený na veľkú skrutku v zemi. Prístup na Internet som nemal, a tak ani prístup na chat ON4KST. TRX s anténou fungovali dobre, a tak som urobil 19 spojení (= 57 bodov) a 11 násobičov / lokátorov WWL , čo znamená celkovo 627 bodov v tejto súťažnej etape na 70cm rádioamatérskom pásme.

 

On Sunday October 18, 2020, after a two year long break, I attended to the ham radio OK/OM VHF-SHF Activity Contest . I transmitted from a meadow above Lamac in Bratislava, 275m ASL,  in the JN88ME locator, namely on the 70cm HAM band (UHF).

There was quite a good weather – cloudy and sunny meanwhile, though windy ; the temperature in the morning around +10 degrees, then warming a little bit till noon. I used a part of my Activity-Contest-Car-Equipment : TRX TS2000X with power ca 40w on the 70cm, electric power supplied from the LiFePo4 accumulator.

I put down the qso-s on paper only. I had to rewrite them into SW log Tucnak in PC at home, sa as to send them on the  www.hamradio.sk for evaluation.   The antenna used was my 11 elements YAGI.  The Alu-mast, which I have used, was simplified, shorter, fixed by a horizontal pipe from the car roof and by a big screw in the soil. The TRX with the ant operated well and so I succeeded to work 19 QSOs (= 57 points) and 11x WWL locators, which means 627 points totally in this competition period on the 70cm HAM band.
